Orient Res 2, Oxford Utd Res 1: Bobby Ford gave the U's a boost ahead of the weekend by scoring on his return to action in yesterday's Avon Insurance Combination match in London.
And it was a superb goal as he finished off good work by Jefferson Louis and Chris Hackett by side-footing home from the edge of the area.
That 25th-minute strike gave Oxford the lead, but the O's hit back with Donny Barnard scoring twice in the second half.
He equalised on 58 minutes from Jabo Ibehre's fine pass, and then tapped in the winner following a left-wing cross.
Louis had a headed goal disallowed at the start of the match for a foul on Keith Stephens.
Both Ford and Lee Steele lasted well and came off with around ten minutes to go.
Oxford Utd Res: McCaldon, Garner, King, R Ford (Brandish 81), Balmer, Hunter, Hackett, Omoyinmi, Louis (Blackstock 62), Steele (Itonga 79), Powell.
