East Hendred moved up to fourth place in the first division table with a convincing 5-1 win at Buckland thanks largely to a fine hat-trick from Robbie Barron.

Tom Larman, of MiltonA Ross MacDonald strike from the edge of the box in the tenth minute gave Buckland the perfect start, but in the 35th minute Barron grabbed the equaliser and just five minutes later he powered home a Glyn Evans cross with a diving header to make it 2-1.

He completed his hat-trick in the second half as Hendred began to take charge, making the score 3-1 before midfielder Stuart Tofte grabbed a fourth with a low hard drive from 20 yds.

In the closing stages Paul Meade hit the Buckland crossbar, but Jason Fisher skewed the rebound wide before full back Lee Janes converted a Glyn Evans corner kick with a fine header to make the final score 5-1.

In Division 2, Abbott Medisense regained pole position with a 9-5 victory over third-placed George & Dragon.

Ian Beachey and Ben Parry both netted hat-tricks with other strikes coming from Danny Parry (2) and Russell Thynne.

Gareth Fenton (3), John Pearce and Dave Sheppard scored for the Dragon.

Wallingford outfit Dolphin moved up five rungs with a 6-2 won over Standlake Garage, their marksmen were Colin Attwood (3) Simon Trinder(2) and Chrissy Orr. Mark Saxel and Danny Lee replied.

Bragging

In Division 3B, Supersonic beat The Queens Arms 4-2 to secure bragging rights in this Didcot derby.

Supersonic scorers were Matty Aplin (2), Lee Fuller and Adam Jennings (og). Steve Cuddon and Jon Hill replied for the Queens.

Milton United stayed third with a 7-3 win at Wallingford Exiles.

The game was swapped to Wallingford's Hithercroft ground to defy the weather.

And the decision clearly suited United, who raced into a 7-0 interval lead.

Tom Larman led the way with a hat-trick, with further goals from Richard Kershaw, Mark Brind, Tom Argent and David Bayliss.

In the second half Exiles recovered somewhat to score through Simon O'Flaherty, John Murby and Matt Peates, but they proved just consolation goals.
