Sean Wickson provided the solitary home victory for Witney ABC's first dinner show of the season at a packed Langdale Hall.
Jamie Maxwell, left, fights Ryan TappingWith nine highly competitive encounters to keep the full house entertained, Wickson won a bruising battle with Berinsfield southpaw David Fisher, despite conceding a public warning in the final round of the bout. Wickson got the nod on a narrow points decision.
Local rivalry was also to the fore in the clash between Leo D'Erlanger of Thame and Witney's David Prentice.
Prentice took a standing count just before the bell to end the first round and two more standing counts prompted the end in the second period.
Witney's Sam Godfrey battled bravely in the opening bout of night, matching the frenetic pace of Finchley schoolboy rival Joe Winson in the early stages before the London lad took a points decision.
Jamie Maxwell, also from the host gym,was unluckier in his clash with Bulmershe opponent Ryan Tapping, losing out on a debatable split decision.
Thame's Shane Massey took some time to get into gear and, despite a strong second round, lost on a split decision to Swindon rival Kelvin Young.
