Wallingford Town Council has changed its mind about having a Pizza Express shop in the town.
The council had previously said the application to turn 12 and 13 St Mary's Street into a restaurant should be refused. But this week the council decided to ask South Oxfordshire District Council to approve it.
Deputy mayor Dee Cripps said: "We have very few places for families to be together, and this Pizza Express would provide a good venue."
