Budding cyclo-cross racers get the chance to try out the sport at Sunnymead Recreation Ground, Cutteslowe, Oxford on Saturday, December 7 (12noon).
The Oxonian club have organised a beginners' race as part of their annual December 'Christmas Cross' event.
Organiser Stuart Hathaway said the race was open to anyone interested.
"We are inviting everyone, young or old, male or female, with a bike to try some off-road racing on a fairly easy course," he said.
There will also be a one-hour open race at 1.15, and an under 12s race at 11.30.
Race headquarters will be at Cutteslowe First School, with signing on from 11am.
