A life-size bronze ox will soon be greeting visitors to Oxford when the sculpture is unveiled next week.
Olivia Musgrave with the sculpture
The statue, commissioned as a public work of art by Oxford University to mark the completion of the Said Business School, will be revealed at 1pm on Wednesday, December 4.
The bronze beast, created by sculptor Olivia Musgrave, will go at the side of the business school, opposite the railway station.
University Vice-Chancellor Sir Colin Lucas said it would be "a welcome addition to Oxford's rich cultural heritage."
Plans for the statue attracted major interest last year, and an Oxford Mail survey brought numerous ideas for the subject.
