Woodstock Harriers finished the Oxfordshire Grand Prix series in style as they lifted the men's title with another fine team performance in the final round - the Blenheim Colour-sponsored Eynsham 10k.
The quartet of Nicholas Bainbridge, Bryan Vaughan, Rob Linnell and Steve Caswell, all finished the county championship race in the top 30, to narrowly beat Headington Roadrunners into second place.
The result ensured a 335-point margin of victory for Woodstock, ahead of Oxford City and Banbury Harriers in the Grand Prix series.
There was further joy for the dominant Headington Roadrunners ladies' team, who claimed the women's Grand Prix title with another comfortable team victory which underlined their superiority.
Jude Craft, Tracy Galbraith and Allison Hirst were always in control, Craft winning the senior ladies' race and Galbraith the Vet 35 category.
Craft's personal best time of 35mins 14secs in the senior ladies' race saw her romp to victory, with clubmate Iona Robertson more than two minutes further back in second.
But it was a closer tussle for the Vet 35 gold, with Galbraith and Hirst neck-and-neck for long periods, before Galbraith stepped up the pace to take first place by 22 seconds.
Dan Duke (Achilles Athletics Club) won the overall race, crossing the line in 32mins 16secs - but it was a close-run thing.
He only just edged out Oxford City's Mark Beerling for the gold medal, while in the Vet 40 category, Vaughan again reigned supreme, winning the race by almost a minute ahead of City's Trevor Dixon, Vaughan adding county gold to his overall title.
Beerling's consolation for missing out on the overall race victory was first place in the senior men's county championship.
He finished more than a minute ahead of his nearest challenge, Windsor's Steve Kimber.
Witney Roadrunners' Tony Lock collected county bronze after a sixth-place finish overall.
There were prizes galore for Witney, with pride of place going to junior Chris Miles, who knocked more than two minutes off his personal best to claim county gold in the junior men's event.
Rik Parsons collected bronze in the county Vet 40 race, while in the Vet 50 category, there was county silver for Graham LeGood, and the men's team of Lock, Mike Baillie, Parsons and Paul Bowden, picked up bronze in the county team race.
There was further success in the ladies' events, with Jeanette Ashton winning county silver in the Vet 45 class in 45.08. That title went to White Horse Harrier Sheila Bailey, with 43.47.
