The Royal British Legion dedicated a new standard in Steventon, near Abingdon, to mark the organisation's 75th birthday in the village.
After a wreath was laid at the war memorial in Steventon on December 1, Wantage Silver Band headed a parade from the village hall to the church for a service conducted by branch chaplain, the Rev Colin Patching.
There were 18 standards in the procession from branches throughout Berkshire. The Steventon Legion has maintain its links with the county since boundaries were redrawn.
At the service, the branch's old standard was laid up and a new one, paid for by parish councils and local businesses, was dedicated. Mr Patching reminded the congregation of the Legion's history, but said its role today was equally relevant.
