A funding crisis in Oxfordshire's social services department will be debated in Parliament tomorrow thanks to an Oxford MP.
Oxford West and Abingdon MP Evan Harris has won the right for the crisis to be debated by the House of Commons on December 3.
The Liberal Democrat said he would focus the debate on the impact of cuts in care for the county's elderly, and respite care for children with special needs.
The department is having to make £8.9m of cuts from its budget.
He said: "This is the third debate of this nature I have secured since my election in 1997.
"Despite promises of jam tomorrow, the plight of Oxfordshire social services gets worse each year."
Mr Harris expects a health minister to respond to his concerns.
