Southern Counties North report: A storming second-half display saw Witney romp to a 40-8 success at home to Wallingford at Hailey Road.
At half-time, the score was 8-8, and the visitors looked the more likely winners after scoring a super try and looking far more assured in their handling.
The second half was a different matter as the Witney forwards put the squeeze on their opponents, who paid the penalty for not having proper cover when their hooker went off.
Witney scored tries through Angus Nicholson (2), Andy Gosling, Ricky Dore, Martin Lyall and a 50-yarder from second row Jez Hicks.
Francis Grant was not at his best with the boot but still added a penalty, two conversions and a sweet drop goal from 30 yards.
Gallant Bicester looked like causing an upset as they were level away to leaders High Wycombe with just 15 minutes left.
But the home side added 20 points in the closing stages to secure victory by the flattering margin of 30-10.
The turning point came just after half-time when Bicester hooker James Davies, who had earlier scored his side's only try, hobbled off with an ankle injury.
From this point, Bicester's pack tired badly and allowed their opponents to take control.
Wycombe led 10-7 at the break, but when Bicester fly half Alistair Smith added a penalty to his earlier touchline conversion, it was anyone's match.
However, with plenty of possession, Wycombe were able to pull away.
