South League report: Simon Harrison hit four goals as City of Oxford ended their losing streak by beating Ramgarhia 6-4 in an open Regional division hockey game at Oxford Brookes University.
Harrison struck twice early in the first half to put City in charge.
But Ramgarhia roared back to lead 3-2, before City equalised on the stroke of half-time with Greg Horne netting on his return to the first team.
Ramgarhia regained the lead after the break, but City were soon back on level terms with Harrison reverse flicking past the keeper for his hat-trick.
Harrison then put City ahead with a penalty stroke after a Ramgarhia defender caught Horne's flick on the goalline.
And City wrapped the game up when a speculative cross from Chris Letts found the net. Rover Oxford missed a chance to close the gap on Division 1 high-fliers Wokingham when they went down 3-1 to the Berkshire side.
Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Rover lifted their game and a Kevin Wharton goal put them back in contention.
Wokingham's third with 15 minutes remaining was a hammer blow for Rover, who were unable to get back into the game.
Abingdon moved to the top of Division 2 following their 3-2 victory over Wallingford at the Hithercroft.
Andy Maunder opened the scoring after 15 minutes for Abingdon, flicking Nathan Conn's cross high into the goal from a yard out.
Wallingford equalised through a Kev Shaw strike only for Ross Morgan to restore Abingdon's lead with a direct strike.
Midway through the second half, Morgan extended Abingdon's lead, again from a penalty corner, playing a clever one-two with Conn before flicking the ball over the grounded Wallingford goalkeeper.
With ten minutes left, John Reece pulled one back for Wallingford.
A sensational Mike Godwin goal was the highlight of Witney's 3-3 draw at home to Bracknell
The visitors eventually took the lead through a scrambled effort, but Witney struck back quickly when Andy Nadine's terrific pass presented Paddy Daniel with a simple chance to score.
Bracknell regained the lead before half-time, but Witney made a rousing start to the second half and Godwin equalised with a flashing reverse stick shot.
Nadine then gave Witney the lead. but Bracknell forced a draw with a goal from a well-worked short corner.
