Oxfam is to receive £154,662 from the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund to aid research into weapons reduction projects in Cambodia.
Juliet Chalmers, a trust officer for the Oxford-based charity, said the grant would enable Oxfam to examine the causes and effects of weapons proliferation and misuse in Cambodia as part of a longer term peace building project.
She said: "Ultimately the project will make a contribution towards improving the safety of Cambodian communities and securing a stable environment for on-going development efforts."
Memorial fund chief executive Dr Andrew Purkis said: "These projects demonstrate the fund's strong commitment to the innocent victims of conflict."
