Town councillors have backed plans for nine detached homes to be built on the Bicester Timber yard, but they have reservations over access on Buckingham Road.
It would be next to Bicester North railway station's entrance road and close to a railway bridge which obstructs visibility for traffic turning right from the site.
Cherwell district councillors will decide whether or not to approve the plan.
