Fourth division Morris Motors F upset Division 1 side St James A by a single point in a thrilling Oxford & District League's Handicap Shield clash.
The match went down to the doubles, with St James's father-and-son partnership of Brian and Stewart Hamilton needing to win 21-3, 21-2 against Joyce Witney and Emmanuelle Lobell to force a play-off.
They took the first end 21-3, but a similar scoreline in the second left Motors (+270) as winners by the narrowest possible margin.
First division leaders Forum A surprised a 422-406 defeat at home to Division 2 title-chasers Haddenham.
Andy Misseldine was the hero for Haddenham (+170), defeating Oxford's No 1 junior, Greg Boone, and then putting up tremendous fights against the experienced Eric Hardiman and county No 1 Karl Bushell.
Third division Bicester C (+260) stunned Division 1 high-fliers Vikings A 467-420.
The trio of Anthony Weaver, Wendy Chapple and Steve Laird played consistently to send Vikings packing.
