Ian Atkins says the Oxford United dressing room is buzzing in anticipation of Sunday's FA Cup clash against Swindon.
Ian AtkinsBut the U's boss admits he has so far kept the build-up low-key so that the players do not peak too early ahead of their big derby battle.
Buoyed by three straight wins, and three straight clean sheets, United's squad are fired up to play in front of their second full house of the season in a game that will be watched by millions live on BBC 1.
And although Atkins is keeping as calm as possible, he admits that he is about to 'unleash' his players and get them as fired up as possible as D-day looms closer.
"The dressing room is buzzing at the moment, and you would hope that was the case," Atkins said.
"But in training this week we have been doing everything that we would normally do, and keeping things as low-key as possible.
"The players are up for it, but we don't want them to peak too early, because it is difficult to sustain that level for long.
"They will get Thursday off, but we'll let them go when they come back on Friday.
"The adrenaline rush at the end of the week will be frightening."
