Classic car enthusiast Rod Munday fears his favourite vehicle may be damaged by one of the growing number of speed humps in the county.
Mr Munday owns a white Lancia Fulvia sports car.
He is most annoyed by humps in Islip since he has to pass through the village regularly to visit relatives.
Mr Munday, 62, of Enstone Road, Middle Barton, said his fears, and those of many other drivers, could be put to rest if some humps were at a lower gradient.
He said: "My car is quite low to the ground and is designed for smooth roads.
"All I am asking is for them to smooth out the gradients in these roads."
David Robertson, the county council's executive member for transport, said: "All the humps in the county have to conform to a particular design standard.
"If drivers do not slow down, then their cars will get a severe jolt.
"The whole purpose of installing the humps is to reduce traffic speeds and the number of accidents."
The humps were put in after villagers and the parish council complained traffic was speeding through the area, despite a 30mph limit.
