A Witney boy has had his quad bike stolen -- but he does not yet know about it.
It was given to him on his fourth birthday by parents Jane and Lawson Edwards, who are dreading having to break the news to Jake.
Instead, they are hoping the public can help find the £400 machine.
They are offering a reward for anyone who can help trace the blue and white Yamaha 50cc, bought second-hand in April this year.
It was stolen on December 3 along with Jake's black, green and purple motorbike helmet.
Intruders got into his uncle's lock-up garage in Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell, where the bike was being stored, and took the machine.
The theft has been reported to police who have appealed for information.
Mrs Edwards said: "It angers and saddens me that in this society there are still people who are willing to steal things from children."
