Children in Littlemore paid tribute to St Nicholas with a candle-lit lantern procession.

The event was organised by St Mary and St Nicholas Church to mark St Nicholas Day on Friday.
Cal Byrne, eight, of Oxford Road, Littlemore, led the procession, dressed as a bishop.
The Rev Bernhard Schuneman said: "St Nicholas is the patron saint of children and his name is the origin of Santa Claus, hence he is the original Father Christmas.
"Children in our parish are very important and we wanted them to know that."
Afterwards, the children joined the congregation at the church, in Giles Road, to hear the Rev Tony Price, the vicar of St Nicholas, in Old Marston, tell the story of the saint's life.
