South West 2 East: Grove succumbed 36-31 at Salisbury in a game of contrasting fortunes.
Salisbury scored five tries, four conversions and a penalty in a one-sided first half.
Seventeen of those points came when Grove No 8 Ben Nicholl was in the sin-bin for picking the ball from the base of the scrum while wearing a No 7 shirt!
With everyone expecting the massacre to be completed in the second half, there was a remarkable transformation as Grove captain and lock Mike Turner inspired a stunning revival.
Turner scored the first try as the pack began to get on top. Further scores followed from prop James Eckert, flanker Jon Smart and winger Dave Johnson.
Fly half Williams converted two of the tries to make the scoreline 36-24.
By now Salisbury were in complete disarray, and one of their players was sin-binned for a dangerously high tackle on Grove full back Jason Evans
The visitors cashed in by electing to run a tap penalty, which ended with Nicholl scoring under the posts for Williams to convert.
With Grove looking certain to pull off a miracle, the referee blew up for full time.
