English League: Oxford Hawks suffered their second successive Division 2 defeat when they went down 6-2 at second-placed Nottingham.
Craig Perks Hawks got off to a flying start, opening the scoring in the second minute with Simon Dawson finishing off a well-rehearsed move.
But, within a minute of the restart, Nottingham equalised before racing into a 4-1 lead at the break.
Hawks made a bright start to the second half, and were rewarded with a penalty stoke in the 44th minute which Craig Perks converted.
Hawks were then awarded a second penalty stroke, but this time Perks hit a post.
Chasing the game, Hawks became vulnerable at the back and presented Nottingham with two late goals.
Defeat made it a disappointing finish to what has been a good first half of the season for Hawks.
