Oxfordshire arrived an hour late for their Inter-counties Championship match at Gloucester when the coach broke down - and they never recovered.
Trailing 10-8 after Saturday's B matches, they eventually went down 22-14 overall.
The ladies B team, which included newcomer Helen Prescott, drew 3-3, with Hazel Prowton taking the lady-of-the-match award.
The men's B battled well, but lost 7-5, Jon Jukes named man-of-the-match.
The following day, the ladies A team were disappointing, crashing 5-1 to put Oxon 15-9 in arrears.
Their only win came from from Babs Manning, who earned her second lady-of-the-match award of the season.
Although Oxon men's A produced some spectacular darts, Gloucester ran out 7-5 victors. Olly Varney was in his usual sparkling form to take man-of-the-match.
