Oxford's Shopmobility scheme has received an early Christmas present.
Father Christmas has presented a scooter to the scheme's co-ordinator, Robin Brooks.
The presentation was made on behalf of the LaSalle Investment Group, managers of the Westgate Shopping Centre.
Shopmobility, which was set up in 1996, provides a free service for people with disabilities to get around the city centre on scooters.
Mary Clarkson, the city council's executive member for the environment, said: "In the six years it's been operating, Shopmobility has allowed thousands of people to enjoy shopping and sightseeing in the city."
