All the homes in Vicarage Road are officially set for Christmas.
For the fifth year running householders in Vicarage Road and Petre Place, Kidlington, have decorated the outside of their homes and had an Christmas light switch-on party.
One of the organisers Jo Hawtin, of Vicarage Road, said they had a small street party lasting about an hour to celebrate.
She said: "We had mulled wine and mince pies, it was a chance for all the neighbours to get together.
"We have the lights on for an hour in the morning for everybody to go to work, and again at 4.30pm, so when you turn into the street it looks really nice."
She added: "Everyone thinks we are quite mad as most people have street parties in the summer."
