Oxford City 4, Barking 1
New signing Stuart Lewis bagged a brace, but then hobbled off with an injury as Oxford City cruised to a comfortable Ryman Division 1 North victory at a freezing Court Place Farm.
City went ahead in the 11th minute when Lewis pressurised Simon Tickner into a back-header and as the ball broke off goalkeeper Robin Ruston, City's new striker shot into an empty net.
Within two minutes, Lewis netted a second when he collected a pass from Andy Smith before shooting home.
The visitors fought back strongly and Steve Benbow was forced into a couple of fine saves before half-time.
City were forced to defend after the break, Benbow palming away a cross-cum-shot from Niall Ritchie.
But they went 3-0 up when Paul Salmon upended Lewis in the area to receive a red card and Perna easily beat Ruston from the penalty spot.
With Lewis limping off, his replacement Jamie Charles found Mark Simms who crashed City's fourth in the 79th minute.
Barking grabbed a late consolation through Jay Murray in injury time.
Oxford City: Benbow, Cruse, Dark, Smith, Brown, Craker, Lee (Brain 81), Perna, Lewis (Charles 73), Mitchell (Simms 45), Wimble.
Referee: P Martin.
