Installation Technologies has moved into the partly bomb-proof structure at Heyford Park, Upper Heyford, as it plans to more than double its workforce from 30 to 70.

The company, which specialises in audio visual equipment for gyms and leisure clubs, was started in 1994 when founder Adam Bloch was 21 and living with his parents in Oxford.

It later moved to Heyford Park, but the new premises will mean the company can set up a full-scale production line.

Mr Bloch said: "Finding a building that can accommodate all the specialist testing and research and development we are planning is fantastic."

The official opening ceremony was carried out by Banbury MP Tony Baldry.

The firm's products carry the Niion brand name and latest developments include a cordless headset which can be carried around a gym and switched on to the nearest television.
