The Rose Hill bus service has been re-launched by Stagecoach after a £100,000 investment.
The number three service, which runs every 10 minutes from The Oval in Rose Hill along Iffley Road into Oxford city centre, is to become more reliable, Stagecoach claimed.
The Buses include a new-style low floor offering better legroom and more space for children's buggies.
The buses have also been given a makeover, each being adorned with pink stickers to help passengers spot their bus in traffic.
The buses may be used to promote community events, display artwork and show poems by schoolchildren.
Plans are also afoot to name the buses after local personalities.
David Whitley, Stagecoach marketing manager, said: "Buses are an essential part of Oxford life and we simply want to become more involved in the communities we serve.
"If the results prove positive in Rose Hill, we hope to roll out similar schemes across the city."
The new-look buses were revealed at The Oval in Rose Hill on Monday.
Father Christmas was on board to greet children and parents.
