A husband and wife who run a village pub are celebrating after winning two awards.
Mr and Mrs Lafford
Peter and Tracie Lafford, of the Railway Hotel, in Station Road, Wheatley, won Best Country Pub and Pub of the Year in a Fuller's brewery competition.
The couple, who have seven children, have run the pub for the past 10 years.
Mr and Mrs Lafford, received the awards from Fuller's chairman Anthony Fuller and chief executive Michael Turner.
They also received £2,000 to be spent on a holiday of their choice.
Barman Graham Barr, from Hathaways, Wheatley, was presented with £500.
Mr Barr said: "The awards were well deserved. Peter and Tracie work seven days a week for 52 days a year. They work really hard and hardly ever take a holiday."
Mr Turner said: "Peter and Tracie have consistently been strong contenders for the Griffin Trophy. They run a busy pub that is well controlled and have very high standards to ensure that the house is kept in top condition.
"In their 10 years as tenants, they have always embodied our commitment to quality, service and pride. If you live in the Wheatley area, I thoroughly recommend you take a look at the pub. It's especially good for those with children -- which is hardly a surprise as Peter and Tracie have seven of their own. Where they found the time, I'll never know!"
