A "cowardly" unprovoked assault on a woman cyclist is being investigated by police in Bicester.
The woman, in her 20s, was cycling along London Road on her way home at about 11.30pm on December 10.
When she was near the railway level crossing she was allegedly knocked off her bike by a man, who then ran away.
She suffered injuries to her face, whiplash injuries and concussion, and needed medical treatment.
Pc Lee Jones said: "This was a totally unprovoked and cowardly attack, which left the cyclist injured and shocked."
As the man ran away from the scene, the cyclist saw he was wearing white trainers and blue jeans.
Pc Jones added: "He may have been walking back from a pub and if anybody saw him in London Road or has other information they should call us."
Anyone with information should call Bicester police on 01869 364520, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
