Oxford Harlequins' South West Division 2 East match at home Amersham & Chiltern on Saturday (Dec 14) has been postponed following the sudden death of one of the Bucks club's players.
Chiltern have called off all their games this weekend, after their young first-team hooker Steve Jones collapsed and died at work in London on Tuesday.
The Quins first team squad will have a training session at Horspath Road instead.
While fully sympathetic with the circumstances, Quins must be fearing a possible backlog of fixtures towards the end of the season.
Because of their excellent run to the last 32 of the Powergen Intermediate Cup, Quins were already set to be two games behind schedule.
One of these, ironically, was the third-round clash against Chiltern, who actually scratched due to a shortage of front- row forwards.
This latest postponement will add to the problems for Quins, who were hoping to get back to winning ways following their first reverse of the season at Maidenhead last Saturday (Dec 7).
