offers free beer Free beer is up for grabs at a party to celebrate the re-opening of an Oxford pub.
The Marsh Harrier pub in Marsh Road, Cowley, Oxford, celebrates its re-opening on December 14 after a £74,000 refurbishment.
The doors open at 8pm and a limited supply of free pints of Fuller's London Pride bitter will be on offer.
The drinker of the 72nd free pint will win a fleece. The Marsh Harrier was closed last month to allow refurbishment work to be carried out.
The inside was fully refitted as brewery Fuller's converted the pub from two separate bars into one large bar with wooden floors throughout. The exterior was also redecorated.
The pub's landlord, Matthew Watson, took over the tenancy of the Marsh Harrier in 1993 and has since turned the business around.
It has won the Fuller's gardens competition and was featured in an episode of Oxford-based TV detective drama Inspector Morse.
Manager Jennie Lawton said: "This a party to celebrate that we are back in business. We are going to put champagne on and a buffet and competitions throughout the night."
