A wantage nurse who has cared for patients in the town for 17 years has retired.
Jennie Revell joined Wantage Hospital after working at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford and left after celebrating her 60th birthday this month.
She now hopes to spend more time following her loves of gardening, walking and swimming.
Recalling the days when she first arrived in Wantage, she said it was a much more formal regime.
"The emphasis in those days was really telling patients what to do, not what they wanted. It's a completely different culture now," she said.
"I will miss the companionship of the staff because we all support each other.
"There's been bad times, but a lot of laughs as well.
"It's not just the nurses, it's the physicians, doctors and everybody here."
