Reports on the games at Highworth Town, North Leigh, Didcot Town, Tuffley Rovers, Carterton Town, Yate Town, Letcombe and Quarry Nomads . . .
Carterton's Karl Dodds finds the net, but the effort was ruled out
Highworth Tn 0, Abingdon Utd 2
ABINGDON United took sweet revenge for a 5-2 Premier Division drubbing from Highworth earlier this season with a 2-0 away win on Saturday.
Highworth, beaten only once this season, found United's new-look defence hard to crack.
Abingdon always looked dangerous on the counter, and from a break in the 39th minute, Pete Moss crossed for Mark O'Hara to open the scoring.
The visitors were in control after the break and sealed the points when Moss ran from halfway to score.
North Leigh 3, Fairford Tn 2
LEADERS North Leigh grabbed two late goals to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against Fairford.
Missed chances cost Fairford the result they deserved as North Leigh keeper Kevin Alder kept his team in the game in the second half.
Matty Ellis headed North Leigh in front for the only goal in the first half, before Fairford's skipper Lee Clark equalised seven minutes after the break.
Almost immediately, Lee Stoddart put Fairford ahead.
Then came the coup de grace, as first North Leigh player-manager Mark Gee, on as a substitute, lashed a surprise 20-yard free kick into the top corner in the 85th minute, and then in injury time, Harry Burnley fired home the last-gasp winner.
Didcot Tn 1, Shortwood Utd 3
DESPITE enjoying plenty of possession, and creating numerous chances, Didcot fell to a fourth successive league defeat.
Town were not helped when the influential Dwaine Strong limped off midway through the first half.
The turning point came on the stroke of half-time. Chris Johnson's shot was cleared off the line and United broke away to force a corner which Steve Walker nodded home.
Ian Concannon was twice denied by keeper Thomas, before another breakaway goal in the 63rd minute made it 2-0 through Mike Green.
A smart finish from Cole in the 73rd minute put the visitors in command, although Concannon pulled one back from the edge of the box, and Didcot were then denied by the excellent Thomas in the closing stages.
Tuffley Rov 0, Brackley Tn 4
THE writing was on the wall for Rovers in the first minute when Brackley's in-form Nick Neal opened the scoring.
Minutes later, Andy Baird was bundled over, but Neil King saw his penalty saved.
Neal bagged his second on 12 minutes, and six minutes before the break, a Terry Muckelberg thunderbolt free kick was spilled by the keeper and Baird smashed No 3.
The second half saw more of the same, with Neil King putting the icing on the cake with a cracker from 35 yards.
Carterton Tn 1, Gloucester Utd 0
CARTERTON stayed in touch with leaders with a well-deserved win.
Early pressure produced a goal by Karl Dodds after four minutes, only for the assistant referee to rule it out for pushing.
Gloucester were kept pinned in their own half for much of the game, and the pressure told after the break when Gloucester gave away a free kick on the edge of the area.
Mark Threlfall's cross was met by Jamie Butt, whose header struck the upright, and Dodds was there to net the only goal.
Yate Tn 4, Wantage Tn 0
AN under-strength Wantage side, without four regulars, were no match for high-riding Yate.
After just five minutes, Peter Broad suffered a split eye after a clash of heads and by half-time, Yate were 3-0 up courtesy of Long, Cole and Dempsey.
Wantage presented very little threat to the Yate goal, and the home side wrapped it up in the 75th minute when a speculative cross from Powell made it 4-0.
Letcombe 3, Bisley Sp 0
LETCOMBE, with player-manager Matty Goddard, James Simms and Mark Delacoze outstanding in defence, proved too strong for Bisley.
A shot from 16-year-old Robbie Fairchild hit a defender and deflected into the for the first goal, and others came from Steve Burry and David Rees.
Quarry Nomads 4, Rayners Lane 1
QUARRY sent the Division 1 East leaders back down the M40 pointless after a superb display.
Goals from Michaese Herbert, Liam O'Callaghan and James Ford put Quarry 3-1 up at the break, and Herbert's second sealed the victory.
