Bright children who have benefited from after-school tuition received certificates for their impressive performance in a ceremony at Oxford's Natural History Museum.
Certificates and medals were awarded to outstanding Kumon students in Oxfordshire at the ceremony.
Kumon students learn maths and English by traditional methods, including mental arithmetic, grammar and repetition.
More than 150 students from around the county collected awards, including five who were in the top ten for their age group and subject among more than 40,000 students nationwide.
Tamana Rahimi, 14, who is in the top five for maths, studies at Cheney School, and lives in Osler Road, Headington, said: "Since I started about five years ago Kumon has helped me gain confidence in maths.
"I couldn't do fractions when I joined but I got over that, and now I'm working on advanced level problems."
