A school has benefited from a £10,000 donation to cement its new status as a specialist science college.
Matthew Arnold School has built a new science building at its Cumnor Hill site, following a £100,000 grant from the Department of Education.
The school needed to raise a further £50,000 for the classroom, so timber company Timbmet, also based in Cumnor Hill, provided £10,000.
Headteacher Adrian Percival, said: "We are extremely grateful to Timbmet for its generosity.
"The school's science department has had to operate in fairly cramped conditions up until now. Having achieved good results in science so far, I'm nevertheless sure that our new science building will make a big difference to what we can offer our pupils."
The new science building will feature a cybercafe, an atrium-style roof, large laboratories and new equipment and furniture.
