Pupils at a Didcot school have raised hundreds of pounds for charity in six weeks.

A class of about 30 children at St Birinus School, in Mereland Road, collected £700 for the Offering Support to Children and Relatives charity.

The charity, run by Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, helps children with brain or spinal tumours and their families.

Pupils sold OSCAR Christmas cards and collected donations at Didcot's annual Street Fair in November.

Form tutor Philip Karlsson said: "They wanted to do something to help.

"They've worked really hard and deserve to be proud."
