A special school has launched a fundraising effort to send pupils on a trip to Paris.
John Watson Special School, in Wheatley, has launched the appeal to pay for 12 children and eight staff to go to Paris next year.
The aim of the trip is to help the children learn a new language and appreciate different countries, cultures and people.
Sophie Garner, modern foreign languages co-ordinator at the school, said: "Learning a foreign language improves the children's own general language skills.
"Also, the positive effects of a residential experience cannot be underestimated. Children who are given this opportunity develop independence and increase their self-help skills."
Anyone wishing to help should call Ms Garner on 01865 452725.
