Parishioners are being asked to pull out all the stops to raise £15,000 to restore their church organ.
People in Chinnor have already raised £45,000 for the organ in St Andrew's Church, which will cost £60,000 to mend.
Once the work is complete, the organ will be dedicated to the memory of the late John Elwes, who played it regularly until his death in November.
Mr Elwes masterminded the fundraising, which has now been taken over by Graham Smallbone, of The Old Manse, in High Street.
Mr Smallbone said: "A church organ means joyful music at a wedding, comforting music at a funeral, choral services and recitals.
"Organs are a part of our musical and church heritage."
The church organ is a Binns, made by one of the most respected organ builders or the 19th and early 20th centuries.
It has provided music in the church for 100 years.
Mr Smallbone is asking for donations to complete the work which will take place early next year.
Donations made payable to St Andrew's Church can be sent to Mr Smallbone or be handed in at the parish office in the church. Nr Smallbone said: "The whole project was masterminded by John Elwes until his death last month.
"However, the fund raising committee is determined to complete the project and dedicate it to his memory."
