Train operator First Great Western, which runs Didcot railway station, is creating 55 new jobs across the UK.
It is also investing almost £7m in a revamp of its commercial services organisation.
Some 37 new staff will work on board the busiest trains of the day. Specific early morning and evening services, where customer demand is highest, will have an extra customer service employee to help passengers.
The re-organisation follows feedback from focus groups, Rail Passengers' Committees and the results of performance measures.
Elaine Holt, director and general manager (commercial services), said: "We have listened to our customers and staff and we have identified areas where we can make a very real difference."
Great Western runs trains from London Paddington to South Wales, the Cotswolds and the West, via Didcot and Oxford.
