WES Costar hit a second-half hat-trick as Marcham Sunday moved into the last 16 of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Cup with a 9-2 thrashing of Reading side Tilehurst United, writes MICK DAY.

Tilehurst, who scored 11 goals against Didcot Labour Club in the previous round, got off to a poor start when Matthew Launchbury put Marcham ahead from the spot.

Mellor (2), Stuart Jeacock and Will Westell netted to give Marcham a 5-0 half-time lead.

Costar's treble made it 8-0. The visitors pulled two back before Westell grabbed his second.

Marcham host the winners of the postponed tie between AFC Victory and Caversham United in the fifth round.

In Division 1, Sandman beat Brightwell 2-0 to move into fourth spot, with goals from Dave Humphreys and substitute Lee Jones.

Third-placed Saxton Rovers won 8-2 at Forest Hill with goals from Andy Shaw (3), Mickey Beale (2), Lee Kogel, Matt Spearman and Kevin Secker. Francisco DaSilva and James Horseman replied.

In Division 2 OUP Press beat Standlake Garage 4-2, with goals from Jay Brown, Lee Constable, Richard King and Jay Brown.

Jerry Senior and Simon Moore hit back for Standlake.

Late on OUP's Chris Parsons reacted angrily to a Moore challenge and both players were red-carded.

In Division 3A Clanfield toppled second-placed Vine FC 5-1, thanks to goals from Peter Osborne (3), Ian Barrett and Steve Wright. Eddy Morey scored Vine's consolation.

AFC Oxford made it four wins in-a-row with a 1-0 success at Cross Keys. Matthew Tomkins broke the deadlock with the help of a through ball from Terry Morrisey.

A fine performance from AFC keeper Peter Lowe sustained the lead as Keys upped the pressure in the closing stages.

AFC Kidlington thrashed Bampton Horseshoes 5-0 with David Brennan (3), Richard Wells and Darren Rouse on target.

In Division 3B Bryn Ingram scored a late equaliser for Didcot Wheatsheaf to share the points in a 4-4 draw at Wallingford Exiles.

Ben Cleeve (2), Adrian Gould and Paul Birch scored for Exiles while Danny McGibbon (2) and John Noble got on the sheet for Didcot.

Meanwhile, Division 3 outfit JET came close to upsetting the odds in their third round Devenney Cup clash with Burford United.

Nick Rhodes snatched the lead for JET, only for Nathan Radbone to equalise, before Simon Gibbs grabbed the winner with five minutes left to set up a home tie with Fitzharris FC in round four.

Despite having John Spoores sent off early in the game George & Dragon overcame Oxford Community Church 4-2.

Deane Fowler opened the scoring for Church, before John Mackie levelled, with further strikes from Adam Woodley and Gareth Fenton making it 3-1.

Fowler got a goal back, but Des Healey's strike sealed a home tie against the winners of the Blue Boar and Bampton Horseshoes clash.
