It is now two years since Ross Doyle was mown down and left to die in Pegasus Road on Oxford's Blackbird Leys estate.

Those responsible have not been brought to justice. Ross's family has been unable to complete the grieving process, to lay their memories to rest with their beloved boy.

Today the grief that never leaves the Doyle household will be more intense than usual. There will also be anger.

We share that anger.

Someone knows who was responsible. Someone is shielding the boy's killer. It might be a misguided parent, a husband a wife or a friend driven by misplaced loyalty. The silence is not honourable. It is cowardly and cruel.

Someone should break that silence and end the suffering of a family that deserves better treatment.
