Children at a Bicester playgroup had stars in front of their eyes -- but only to decorate.
Children at Rainbow Playgroup took part in a competition to decorate a golden star for Christmas.
About 19 children took part and all stars were displayed at Carpet Trader, in Deans Court, where customers could vote for their favourite.
Three-year-old Laura Guy, pictured with playgroup supervisor Debbie Holland, was the overall winner, and received a play mat.
All the other children were given a selection box.
Debbie Holland, manager of the playgroup at Glory Farm School, Hendon Place, off Sunderland Drive, said: "Judging was left to customers from Carpet Trader, who organised the competition. They had a tally chart and the one with the most was the winner."
