A improvement scheme aimed at cutting accidents on a busy Oxfordshire road is to go ahead in the new year.
Oxfordshire County Council has included the A415 between Newbridge and Standlake in its list of accident reduction measures because of a history of crashes due to drivers losing control on a difficult bend near the Rose Revived pub.
The work is due to start on January 6 and expected to last for three weeks.
Temporary traffic lights will operate 24 hours a day, along with speed restrictions, and motorists will be escorted through the roadworks in convoy to ensure their safety.
The work is expected to cause short-term delays, and drivers are advised to use an alternative route wherever possible.
