Witney & District FA round-up: Brize Norton end 2002 in the same way as they started it, sitting on top of the Premier Division table.

Their latest victims were Bampton who went down 2-1. All the goals came in an eventful first period. Simon Gardner and Mark Jewell were on target for Brize, with Darrell Kew replying for Bampton.

Strikes by Scott Walters, Dan Kearney and Will Griffiths earned Carterton Town A a 3-1 win over Spartan Rangers for whom Dan Poole netted a goal to level the scores.

Minster Lovell were held to a 1-1 draw by West Witney. Martin Latimer's second-half opener for Minster brought a reply from Andy Nickless.

Adlestrop made it four wins on the bounce after defeating a lacklustre Ducklington 4-2, with two goals from Chris Mills and one each for Stewart Hughes and Kurtis Atkins.

Martin Ferreira and Chris Palmer netted for Duck.

In a repeat of the previous week's Fred Ford Cup quarter-final, Napier Rovers entertained Freeland and again finished on top, coming from behind to win 5-1.

Freeland took a first-half lead through Tim Pratley, but Napier scored five unanswered goals through Jamie Rideout (2), Matt Nash, Pete Saunders and Ian Holton.
