As an ex-Pressed Steel worker revisiting Oxford, I was appalled to see the changes that BMW had made at Cowley.

Garsington Road is an eyesore.

At least 20 vehicles were parked on pavements and grass verges on one side and cycles were tied to railings on the other. Surely, after spending so much money on the plant, BMW can afford a car park.

In my day, we had two car parks and everyone used them.

Is this generation too lazy, or is BMW too tight to build one?
