On November 27, I was admitted to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with asthma and a collapsed lung, and would like to say what great treatment I had.
I was put in the resuscitation room on arrival at accident and emergency.
I had a bed on a ward within four hours.
You do not need a bed straightaway as your health is more important. The nurses were great and I felt safe in their hands.
I was later transferred to ward 14 at the Churchill Hospital, with great care from the ambulance service.
I had a wonderful greeting from all the nurses and they looked after me well.
So why do people keep moaning about A&E?
We will all benefit from the new department when it is finished. It is not a five-star hotel. It is for us to be treated and get well.
Well done to all you doctors and nurses. You did me proud. Your care has made me well. I am now on the road to recovery.
