OXFORD Cavaliers rugby league team, based at Oxford Rugby Club in Hinksey, are looking to recruit players for the new season, beginning in February.
The Cavaliers, formed in 1996, were one of the first teams in the Summer Conference, which has since become one of the fastest growing sports competitions in Britain.
The Conference has almost realised the initial aim of establishing a rugby league team in every major town in the country, and is now branching further afield.
The Cavaliers will play regional fixtures next season against teams from as far afield as Cardiff, Bristol, Worcester, Gloucester and Somerset. The first game is the traditional Town v Gown contest in mid-February.
Anyone who is interested in playing rugby league and can commit to training at least one night per week should contact the Cavaliers via Matt Walsh on 07796696367.
