Cherry Red Records Hellenic League: Carterton stay hard on the heels of their west Oxfordshire rivals North Leigh with this well-deserved win at Southall.
The game only game to life in the second half when James Mortimer-Jones took the ball down the right and sent over a good cross which Kevin Lewis back-heeled into the Southall net.
The London side threw everything at the Carterton defence and the visitors were under the cosh for the remainder of the game.
However, a string of superb saves by Carterton captain Nick Heritage, plus some stout defending, kept Southall at bay.
