Staff at the Meadow View nursing home in Standlake baked a special cake to celebrate the 104th birthday of Sally Hurst.
Mrs Hurst was brought up in Atherstone, Warwickshire, and worked as a teacher before marrying her husband Ronald.
She was widowed when she was 62 and has lived at the nursing home in Standlake for five years. Her daughter Margaret Hancock lives nearby in Kingston Bagpuize.
Mrs Hurst has two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Home manager Sheila James said: "She is becoming increasingly frail, but she still has days when she likes to talk about the past and her teaching."
The 30 residents and staff at the home were holding a party today (December 30) to mark the occasion.
Oxfordshire's oldest female resident is believed to be Hilda Brooks, who celebrated her 105th birthday earlier this month.
