Oxford United will not be beaming Saturday's big FA Cup third-round tie against Arsenal live to the Kassam Stadium.
After many fans were left disappointed when the club sold out of their ticket allocation for the Highbury glamour tie, United said they would consider screening the match live.
However, a combination of complications with television rights and people being away from work over the festive period has meant that U's officials had little choice but to scrap their idea.
Commercial manager Peter Davis said: "Logistically, it was just not possible, and unfortunately it just cannot be done."
