An entertainer moved by the tale of two Wantage sisters struck by cancer is organising a charity variety show.
Professional entertainer Jim Mitchell is rounding up singers, musicians and performers from the community to help raise money for cancer charities chosen by Jenny Carter, 40, of Wantage and her sister Gill Parrot, 41, of Grove, who both discovered lumps in their breasts on the same day. Mrs Parrot is now receiving radiotherapy. After being given the all-clear, Mrs Carter took part in the Ben Nevis Challenge on Saturday for charity.
Tickets for the show, called Climb Every Mountain, cost £8 or £6 concessions. Call 01235 760176 or 01235 763561.
Proceeds will go to the Anthony Nolan Appeal and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
